The McCarthers of Karina series, my first four books depict the lives of the McCarther family and their descendants. The journey begins in Broken Hill, in 1922 and deals with the challenges of the outback, and interwoven relationships of the family, extended family and their neighbors.
The books incorporate historical events in Australia and the world of the time, woven into the happenings of their daily life.
I have tried to base my books on the real-life issues that people face and the faith and courage they display in dealing with them.

A Mysterious Inheritance begins in Aristocratic England in 1814. The story moves then to the convict settlement in Sydney and on to the present day. Stephanie Lewis has just inherited a stately mansion in Kingfisher Bay, willed to her by her aunt, a former socialite turned recluse, and previously estranged from her family. Stephanie discovers a valuable pendant belonging to Landy Caroline of York amongst her aunt’s belongings and is determined to find out how it came to be there.
